North Salina was planning to host a roundtable discussion in 2026, inviting representatives from regional Animal Shelters to share ideas.
This project was paused due to the Pit Bull election. Now that this decision has been made, the City Commission has discussed hiring an Animal Shelter specialist to conduct an assessment. So at this time, our planned roundtable has been put on hold.

North Salina is supporting the current Stimmel Garden project and helping the City of Salina with volunteers to conduct a survey for a Community Development Block Grant. North Salina also supports the Salina Food Bank garden. Community gardens give us the opportunity to grow and share fresh, quality foods.
